Main reason is because i was too fucking lazy to practice every day for my skillz to improve. I used to draw loads as a kid and i had a semi decent talent for observational sketching, i was always shit at being creative and drawing from my head on the other hand (why is it so fucking hard drawing hands and feet!) which pissed me off and the reason it put me off drawing in the end which was a retarded thing to do in hind sight.
If only i had a time machine so i could travel back in time and beat myself up.
Anyway i found this nice little blog relating to the cover art of 2000AD progs called '2000AD covers uncovered'. It has some great insights into the processes involved and many links to the various artists who have contributed to 2000AD over the years.
