Well i have a day off today and i was looking forward to playing 'Metal Gear Solid', unfortunately my shitty cheap controller for the PC has decided to stop working so now it looks like i have to do something constructive.

Why aren't i good at drawing?

Main reason is because i was too fucking lazy to practice every day for my skillz to improve. I used to draw loads as a kid and i had a semi decent talent for observational sketching, i was always shit at being creative and drawing from my head on the other hand (why is it so fucking hard drawing hands and feet!) which pissed me off and the reason it put me off drawing in the end which was a retarded thing to do in hind sight.
If only i had a time machine so i could travel back in time and beat myself up.

Firstly, Bioshock 2 sucked and secondly Mass Effect2's ending sucked.

Ass Creed 2 was Ass I don't like a game when, on completion decides to make the first 2/3 of the game pointless filler I mean honestly time would have been better spent making an interesting and gripping story instead of........I actually have no idea where all the time was spent since its not vastly different from the original.
We've also had the major title Modern Warfare 2...most likely the last hit title from studio Infinity ward since all the legal action and leavers. A good game but I've played this one a lot less than the original.

Most of my gaming time at the moment is invested in a Arena Hero based game called League of legends, its a formula like DoTA, HoN or Demigod for a free games its pretty awesome and everyone should give it a try at that price.

Been a while since i've posted here, mostly due to laziness and because i find it extremely difficult writing anything.

..Sooo anyway i'm back in a gaming mood ever since Bioshock 2 came out (single player is awesome the Multiplayer is a laggy pile of shit). At the moment I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2 like a crack addict, i just can't get enough of that game!
Out of the two i feel ME2 is the better sequel. Bring on ME3!

God i hate work at the moment, i've come to the conclusion that the role of the customer is today's society is to piss off the person who's serving them.
It would be great to set most of the annoying bastards on fire.

Pixel Art How i Love Thee

I love pixel related art, it's sort of back to basics, simple and cool. There's no limitations to it as far as i can see, take Gang Garrison the 8bit remake of Team Fortress 2 for example, it just screams awesome!! Very fun to play, reminds me of some C64 games i used to play yonks ago.

If i had the time (which i do but spend it moaning, wanking and playing TF2) i would love to try and do some pixel stuff but i know what the results will look like, a big steaming pile of dog shit. Shame really as i have some crazy images in my head (which i will never mention to any doctor).

While searching the seas of the interwebs I found the master of Pixel Art and this master is called eBoy. Check out some of his creations, click on the images for the full size, prepare yourself for awesomeness...

On a final note i would like to have a moan. What i hate the most on TF2 are players that only play one class and nothing else hardly such as this cunt on the GTFO servers called Dest (he's in a clan but it's not worthy to mention the name on here, it'll probably disband in a few months because they suck), Dest only plays for the most part Sniper, and with his bad Engrish he likes to brag about how "amazing" he is, i want to hunt him down and cut his fingers off. He's that irritating.

Why hope for the hopeless?
I'm talking from experience now, quite a bitter one at that lol, and I've noone to blame except myself. It all seems so reasonable and worthwhile at first, why not nurture some hope? especially if it seems justified....
sadly I came to the conclusion that it does no good at all infact it does nothing but lead you to a vertical cliff face and.....while you let it.... continuously throws you off.
There is a difference between false hope and hope, though it seems to me to be a very...very thin line, hence the saying... 'no hope is better than false hope'
I wish i could say i've learned my lesson or at least something from the whole thing.... but tbh i doubt i have, i still have...problems dealing with the situation.
Being fucked around really isnt fun, infact its pretty fucking annoying and selfish verging on pathetic, the only solace i can find would be the hope ( oh irony, you callous fuck) that it was unintentional. The desire to unleash malicious verbal abuse bubbles away.

Anyway on to lighter things....

Skate 2: pretty good game still has some bugs, it is EA so thats to be expected. The video editing in the games quite lush and arguably one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game, once you complete a decent line getting the camera angles and shots right is just as satisfying as nailing the line your attempting.

DoW 2 (beta): A great strategy game with a few teething problems regard to balance of units and factions, having a blast playing this with friends atm, a definite purchase when it goes gold.

Reading the Watchmen atm, before the film comes out, i must say its not what i expected and really very deep, highly recommended.

Hej,
Lately I've been getting up fairly early for work;around 5:30, now i really like the morning, especially when its dark theres something about it that makes me smile...the empty streets perhaps and the strange solitude. Dont get me wrong i hate leaving my bed, I mean who does? its just everythings so much clearer and easy to deal with.

Anyway... I was waiting at a train station where the opposite platform goes to London Waterloo, and i jsut stood ( its better than sitting next to somone who could potentially be you!) waiting and watching; amid the stream of black clad corperate sheep, with their laptops fastfood and coffe a few realisations dawned on me which i noted in my phone as usual. Now i dont usualy send them to people but I sent these to somone who would appreciate the ideas (sorry for waking you btw)
ill just copy them exactly and leave it at that as i think they are pretty clear.

Music has also come across my mind lately, im not a lyrics person... not that i dont like them.... its just that i completely miss them in most songs; its like my brain just disengages and takes it all in and doesn't filter. Now i tried explaining this to my brother( who has all the musical blood) and he was of the opinion that im missing something from the music if thats the case, another said its art and people appreciate it in different ways; now i agree with that more ( makes me look less retarded lol) but now im trying a little harder to actualy pick up on lyrics etc etc Tool for instance...its coming along....slowly.

Now i havent really been into music for that long :O maybe a few years now and i was talking to people at work about their favourite bands; but not typical questions...NEVER typical ;p i asked them when they realised or found who their favourite band was...like the exact momment the epiphany flashed. im curious as theres only one band thats grabbed me and drawn me in completely and utterly and i can remember the exact momment i first heard them. Can you yours?

I just thought I should actualy contribute something to the blog again, its been a while.....Just never really had the muse hit me in the face, i consider everything else worthless otherwise, a rather negative way of looking at things... its like doodling and then burning them; when infact if you ever make it as an artist you could sell them for millions and bajillions in the future...not saying that im going to make it as an overopinionated griefer lol but hey.

The last few months in the gaming market had my hopes fairly high, alas all of the games i was looking forward to all ended in dissapointment. standards are high? or quality is low?
abit of both.

Ohhhhhhhhhh its nearly christmas aswell.....*sigh* i really dont like this time of the year, to me its just bullshit i mean why do we need a reason or an excuse to wait till a certain time of the year to give to people, be it love, gifts, drugs or abuse or whatever. Dont get me wrong the concept is genuine but its execution just pisses me off.
Im a very bah hummbug kind of person ( if you didnt get that already from the very few posts ive made then you dont deserve the eyes youve been given or the brain;which you obviously failed to engage)and for some reason this year ive actually gone and spent money on people, now this is very hypocritical but at the same time i did it without expecting anything in return because.... i dont do christmas, ive explained it to people as a coincidence that ive got theses gifts and its christmas.

I think the reason ive done this is, in part, to the fact that i actualy went into shops and just looked around....i dont like town...i dont like people.... and i dont like busy places so you can imagine. and the items ive bought actually struck me as something the recipient would like and, inpart again to the lack of anything in previous years..... plus i can comfortably buy these things.

ironic that the time i choose to do this the economy is teetering.

From time to time I like to enjoy watching random TV channels from around the world, mostly Japanese though, at this moment of writing this post i'm watching Tokyo TV, dunno what they are saying but they are doing a program about large fish to fry :D.
I love the internet...

What I first used was Keyhole TV, this I would suggest to avoid or use as a last resort as it is really shit in quality. But I shouldn't really complain seeing as its free.

After being a bit disappointed with keyhole I found TVU player which had a better interface and a larger selection of channels, but recently some of the Japanese ones have disappeared, which is a bit annoying as they were the good ones :(
Now there is only a selection of 5 channels or so, bit limited but once again its free so i shouldn't really moan, even though I like to.....all the time.

Good Headphones at last!

I think i'm a bit of a cheap bastard when it comes to buying certain stuff. I have 2 black pairs of combat pants, one of the pair i have had since 2003. The other i forced myself into buying because the other ancient pair i had were so washed that they ended up looking more grey like bits of my head then black.

Anyway....so i finally decided to buy new headphones because the last two 4 quid headphones I had either dug into my head and ears, never fit properly or lacked the ability of produce bass and so the screaming sound from my METAL IST KRIEG would pierce my ear drums and kill parts of my brain. Why did i buy them? I think i was stupidly trying to save money, being a student is hard! You think i like just eating bread and butter as my breakfast lunch and dinner? Actualy i do but its not healhty and i might end up getting rickets or scurvy one day.

The new headphones i got this time and will keep getting from now on are KOSS Porta Pro.

Very very comfortable with amazing sound and all that bollocks. Plus they have this cool retro 80s look with the head band and you can pack them up to fit in your pocket which is handy.

Hands down these beat any head phones i have ever had in the past and i'm glad i finally decided to spend more then 4 quid.

The cost of these average at around the 20 to 25 quid mark.

My coach journeys down to Windsor and back will be more fun now that i can hear what the fucks playing on my Creative Zen. I wish i got these earlier, Its been ages since i heard bass on headphones that it sounds weird now!

On a side note i finally got Fallout 3 for my laptop, i'm happy it actually manages to run it. But seing as i have too much work to do at uni (the reason i aint posted that much on here recently) i can't really play the fucking game which is quite sad :(
Its like being given a lightsaber in real life but you can't have the batteries or power pack for it untill you know how to use the force...... DAMN IT!

Well I'm back.It's been a while since the last update, with fairly good reason..............I'm lazy, theres that and the fact that i couldnt think of anything to write.
Ok over the past couple of weeks a multitude of "good" games which are worth your time and money were released. A quick list of these titles comprises of Farcry 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3 and Dead Space.Now being the awesome geek I am, and working at the place I do ( and where my brother works), I own all of these games and as a side effect of being an awesome geek plus my job I've developed a very harsh opinion of the things i know and love. It seems a little elietist but inevitable, when you do something for a time your standards adjust.

Anyway I'll post my opinions on the games in the order i listed them.
Farcry:This is a very, very complete game and from the last few games ive played it makes a nice change. There are however a few gripes i have with it and both have relation to the inbetween. where you dont have a mission and are trying to get one.
Firstly EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE hates you in this game...granted it is set in a wartorn country where your hunting down an arms dealer but still.... and secondly why is it that your car, no matter which one your in is always slower than theirs?!

Ok because ive lost my train of thought and cant be botherd to write in detail about the others Farcry 8/10, Fable 6/10 nice game, broken, exactly like the first just with more elbow grease Fallout 3: 7/10 like Oblivion.....just with....Radiation. Dead Space 8/10 think Event Horizion meets The Thing styled resident evil game.

What is it that makes some people just not worth your time ? I've come to the conclusion that my manager is one of these people, and not just because of the padlock incident.... hes a nice man and has his strong and weak points, but at the same time as acknowledging these I disregard them and just don't have the patience to listen to his attempts at conversation, I do this politely which does nothing but gradually annoy me.

I mean today I had to leave the same room in case conversation was attempted, usually I sit put and engage, today I just wasn't in the mood.

On the flipside to that I really love talking to this girl who I work with shes funny, clever, sarcastic and we have loads in common but today at least, it seemed like i had no tolerance for people.....................So nothing new there then.

And on the Other side of the planet......

I use my phone to make quick drafts of subjects I want to write about later or peoples names I want to remember ........ our local Bank Girls for instance ;p after making these notes I usually forget I've made them until i look at the drafts folder and one of the notes i made was just three words "Exploitation of Retard" haha excuse the offense to anyone none intended.

Now this does have a base although it is from a third person perspective, in which I'm usually right anyway ......what? I am.

There were two kids in my shop, one of them was a little challenged nothing severe but it was apparent and it was his birthday so he was getting spoilt. The other kid was and average chubby kid ( a little dense imo but who isn't) now this is the kid who got to me, he was trying to talk the first one into buying things which he could then borrow or use straight away.

To me this is absolutely shocking and I did my part to interfere with chubbys intentions as best I could since it seemed apparent that the mother of the birthday kid failed to see what was going on............ either that or she didn't care because she gets loads of benefits.......

Films that could have been good: Episode I – Anderson Strikes Again

Right I’m a big Movie fan, maybe something of a nerd as I know random facts that no one else would give a shit about on certain films, like for example: Michael Biehn, the guy who played Kyle Reese in Terminator was the second choice for Hicks in the Movie Aliens after the first actor had to drop out due to Visa issues if I remember correctly.

First off on this hit list of shitty films is: Resident Evil

Just let me start by saying that I truly hate and despise the director Paul W.S Anderson and i hope he dies some very long and slow painful death. For those who don't know, this is the same asshole that ruined the movies AvP, Mortal Kombat and Soldier (this film is supposed to be set in the same universe as Blade Runner and was written by one of the co scriptwriters of Blade Runner, the film had a brilliant concept, look how Anderson managed to fuck it up).
He has a boring approach to film making and usually ends up leaving the films on some really bad cliff hanger so you know there is going to be a crap sequel in the turd works.

Q. So what was wrong with Resident Evil?
A. Everything.

Instead of making a creepy suspense filled horror with thriller elements set in a massive Mansion, the truly amazing (note sarcasm) Anderson instead turns the adaptation into a shitfest Action Horror film with NO HORROR anywhere to be seen. Isn’t the whole point of a Zombie film to be scary? Why does this film fail at this task so hard?

Also for a Resident Evil film it lacks any of the characters that appeared in the game i mean where the fuck is Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Wesker and the other members of S.T.A.R.S, these are supposed to be the main characters! What we get instead are boring characters we the fans don’t really know or give a shit about. I think there is only one character that is from the game series and that is William Birkin who was uncredited as the narrator.

The Zombies, jesus christ the Zombies the most important part of the Resident Evil series, they were totally retarded and severely underused, they should have looked like the Zombies from Lucio Fulci’s “Zombie Flesh Eaters”, now they looked bad ass.
Did you know that “professional dancers were hired to star as zombies as they had better control of their body movement.”……really? Because they looked fucking crap.
I have seen better zombies on the streets.

And for the plot? Oh god the plot was so boring that I have forgotten all about it thank fuck, this really is a film that makes me angry because of all the what ifs or could have beens. Like for example what if George A. Romero the Zombie master actually got the go ahead to make his own version of the film? If you haven’t seen the ad for Biohazard 2 that he made then check this out:

You see Romero understood what the game was about and how it could have worked on the screen but apparently the script he wrote wasn’t good enough and was eventually turned down!? I mean what! You turned down his script and let Anderson’s piece of shit version to go ahead? I see no logic there, none.

This was Romero’s idea for the film; once again I copied from Wikipedia.

“In 1999, Sony and Capcom greenlit a Resident Evil film with George A. Romero signed on as the film's director and screenplay writer…….Romero stated in an official appearance in Universal Studio's Talk City chatroom that he had his secretary play the entire game through and record the gameplay so he could study it as a resource. Romero's screenplay revolved around the plot of the Arklay incident and included characters from the Resident Evil video games. Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield were the lead characters, involved in a romantic relationship. Barry Burton, Rebecca Chambers, Ada Wong and Albert Wesker were to also appear. The ending to the film would have been similar to that of the Resident Evil video game.”

Just a note I’m not a huge Zombie fan not like some of my friends but I do hold the first Resident Evil game in such high regards for its brilliance, story telling and the whole suspense and setting is creepingly great!.
I might buy a game cube just to play the remakes thinking about it.
Well anyway after watching the first abomination I decided to skip the 3 sequels because I knew they would follow the same crap style. Maybe I’m wrong but I still won’t watch them out of principle.

Brute force solves everything.................obviously.

Today I had to mule our delivery up from next doors basement, because my manager thought he could remove a Yale lock with what I presume was a hammer, since he previously removed keys from his fob which he thought he didn't need......sigh

So after lugging 15 relatively heavy boxes , from about 10ft away from where they were actually meant to be, up a flight of stairs into the street and down another flight of stairs I was fairly knackered....

Now this doesn't put many people in a bright and chipper mood, me especially, but doing this because your MANAGER thought somewhere along the road ( now this road is seldom traveled by idiots let alone people in charge and of managerial material) that taking a hammer to a lock in a place of work was a good idea just makes it that much worse. I did object and state My cause but no one listens to good advice these days do they.

Not only did he waste his time and effort looking like, what I can only imagine as, a recess monkey on the set of 2001: a space odyssey, but also completely fucked the lock so when we actually had the key it wouldn't fit.

Eventually a locksmith came out to fix the problem, call the instigator of all the commotion a retard and bugger of to his next job, but we were without a fire exit for most of the day, shock horror at the thought of Joe public being trapped in a burning store........... wish i brought matches to work

P.S Spore isn't worth your money but is worth a fraction of your time, if only to make yourself giggle at the wholly unoriginal genital creature your bound to create.

Degrees of Fail, An Opinion Of

When a person, or persons are planning to attempt something, there's one key part to it all, so key in fact that if left unchecked or missed the result is just a monumentous fail. What is this pivotal decider I hear you ask?... well its to actually fucking plan isn't it.

I mean if you were going to host a service for hundreds of thousands of subscribers and users, all eager to sign up and input their details; readying themselves for the up comming event, surly you would prepare and test your service to breaking point just so you can provide the user with the facilities you intend to be available.

Well not all company's appear to have that work ethic, with a major launch coming up and undoubtedly heavy traffic inbound, GOA who are dealing with European accounts and servers for Warhammer online, thought it would be a great idea to just assume they'll be able to cope. So, leaving everything to the last minute the inevitable happens. Fail.

Now this wouldn't be so bad but unfortunately Iain Compton the English Community Manager for WAR Europe was quoted with this statement

"Secondly our website has already been dealing with traffic that makes the expected rush for signups pretty trivial. We get more visits per day that the total number of open beta keys in existence across the world. We have launched major timed events before and we have a lot of experience in making sure that key systems are able to handle the pressure. The account pages are coming, they have been tested thoroughly and we aren't concerned about the stability of the server."

They do say assumptions are the mother of all fuck ups, but this misjudgment on their part not only creates bad blood between the client base and service providers but also leaves everyone expecting the worst for the retail launch and that's the one that matters.

Regards to WaR, being in a rather unique position since, like the rest of the sheep I have been unable to create an account, but also still have access to the game via friends being in the previous phase of testing. This means i get to play....when they don't want to.

So having played a class and race I wasn't too interested in, I can safely say the game has some very interesting features; its still buggy but no venture is problem free these days, its an industry that's driven by deadlines this itself raises issues which are inevitable but Warhammer, for me, is looking like its heading in the right direction.

As for GOA.......Dö i en bilolycka.

regarding other things:

I bought Spore for the PC on Friday, I've been playing it a bit and today just finished conquering the planet I was on, the next stage of the game is designing a UFO and exploring the galaxy.

Now the game is good, it was delayed a few times as far as I'm aware and was hyped a silly amount all this has had a negative impact on my impressions of the game.

I would have been more impressed if I could have played it when I first saw it in action, the whole design EVERYTHING angle of the game while initially seems awesome its both good and bad then borders on thetedious, depending on what kind of mood your in. I have a very short attention span, so after spending about 20 minutes designing my guildhall I really wasn't interested in creating a house right after it, so simply made a box added a door and a couple of windows and plonked it down. Apply the samemethod for the creature and vehicle process's.

It has made me come back to it tho. I'll let you know my final verdict at a later date.... if at all.

Bunny Hopping

While playing the Battlefield Heroes BETA i have noticed that the game is full of annoying Bunny Hopping cock ends. Anyone who plays or has played online shooters will know how frustrating this can be playing against bell-ends such as this.
I have never seen a game with as much Bunny Hopping as Battlefield Heroes, i don't think games like Quake 3 Arena and the Unreal Tournament games come into this as they are sort of made for jumping around like a twat on speed.....anyway.

For those who don't know what bunny hopping is or are too retarded to figure it out, here is a copy and paste job from the wonderful Wikipedia:

"a term used in computer and video games to describe the basic movement technique in which player is jumping repeatedly instead of running in order to move faster or/and to avoid enemy fire."

Basically most people bunny hop because they are too crap to shoot back, lack the ability to conceal themselves in the heat of a battle, or because they are just a cunt.
I see no skill involved with Bunny Hopping, some people will disagree but i don't give a shit about their opinions because they probably fall into the asshole Bunny Hopping collective.

I know everyone has done it while playing, even myself, and i'm not trying to say you should stop doing it but if you keep repeatedly mashing the jump button while playing online shooters such as Battlefield Heroes or Team Fortress 2 then that basically means you are a dick.

Now the video below i like even though it feature a horde of Bunny Hopping bastards, remember that bouncy ball commercial for whatever it was for?

This video however feature a cunt so unbearable i just want to track him down and shatter his knee caps.

How do your settle an argument between multiple people?

I've experienced enough to realise that whatever decision or conclusion you come to there will always be a party of unhappy people, the best thing you can do is make your decision and deal with the fallout afterwards. What aggravates me is when people QQ and moan about the choice. Its been made, deal with it and move on or be constructive instead of doing nothing and just making the situation worse.

Anyway Hi

Now I accept a few things that come along with the job I have.

The majority of people I encounter have no idea what there actually on about, adolescents are part and parcel, since my work is placed near a .....not so great college we get the special kinda of kids, rich parents buying the latest toys for their arrogant spoilt offspring....

this list could really go on and on and I could whine and moan till the cows come home but i digress;

what I find hard to deal with are other workers employed to do some other job ( in this case street sweeping) coming in while getting paid, just standing at the 360 pod playing it. I'll be the first to admit my job is relatively easy and doesn't require much from me but I do my bit.

I have regular customers who like to see me, and me them ( no I'm not referring to you Doug, Jon, Laura, Ciara, Leah or anyone else who doesnt actually buy anything and just comes in to disrupt me) but fuck him! Ive met most of the people who come to see me through working i.e getting paid to do what I'm supposed to do not slacking off.

On a completely different note:

charity fucks me off, don't get me wrong I understand its for a cause and helping people etc etc its more a specific kind of charity raising I'm referring to, the guilt kind.

I was at a pub with some friends a while ago.... now i was having a good time and enjoying myself, well that's not strictly true but w.e; when in walked a couple of plastic rose carrying cockblockers who proceeded to approach people stating their cause and whatever tear jerking sympathy grabbing garbage they wanted to punters who are relaxed and laughing with their friends.

This is like guerrilla warfare; ambush your enemy when their weakest and apply the guilt trip. What annoyed me more was that people accepted this and readily donated

Maybe I'm just a cold hearted bastard....OR maybe I'll donate to a cause that doesn't try to get my money in such a manipulative way.

Battlefield Heroes

Ok i just managed to get into the BETA of this game thanks to a friend of mine (yes i regard you as a friend now because of this, congratulations).

I've just been playing for a couple of hours but from first impressions......yeah its pretty damn good fun, whats even better is when this sucker is finished it will be free. You read that correctly, this game will be free to play.

Quick over view of the game for the moment, will make a nice post about this soon, maybe even a video if you're lucky.

Antisi and myself have never done a blog before so please bare with us, Antisi usually does all the eloquently written type of posts where as i do the posts that look like a 5 year old has just mashed his head onto the keyboard.

Why should you, yes you the only person looking at this blog constantly keep coming back here?

But really..........entertainment i guess, full of ramblings, thoughts and maybe useful info such as how to candidly record women on the street to spunk over later when your mums are not in the house, unless you prefer doing it while she is wondering around adding that sort of danger game to the wank which you might find exciting.
